Welcome to the twenty-second edition of the Intersect Development Report!
In this edition, we look at the latest Cardano node release and updates to the Chang timeline. Plus, confirmation of Intersect’s constitutional council, updates from our committees, community tooling, updates on Intersect’s internal leadership, and more!
Let’s get straight to business with the latest on node 9.0!
Node 9.0 is out
Cardano node v9.0 has arrived! This release signifies the completion of primary development work for the bootstrap phase of on-chain governance, leaving only minor updates to incorporate Cardano constitution elements. Now begins a period of ecosystem-driven testing and adoption. This latest version introduces highly anticipated features, including support for Plutus v1 reference scripts and Plutus script signature support via CIP-69.
You can also learn more about the Chang timelines and dependencies, which have been updated here.
Introducing the Intersect Constitutional Council and countdown to the consultation workshops
It has been another strong week for Intersect’s work on one of its core pillars: supporting Cardano’s on-chain governance.
The interim Constitution Committee is now up and running, with onboarding continuing throughout July. As Intersect holds one of the seven seats, we will operate our seat as a member-led body known as the Intersect Constitutional Council. We are grateful to all those who applied to join, and - from such a strong pool of applicants - we now have a Council in place. Read more and meet the Council here.
Global workshops
In the meantime, the first Constitutional consultation workshop dates are just weeks away. This is the community’s chance to have its say on Cardano’s final constitution as it goes through drafting and community consultation. As we make final arrangements with hosts, look out for invites to a nearby workshop soon and keep up with the full calendar of events on Luma here.

The next bi-weekly report from the committee is live. It provides the community with regular updates on committee outputs and their current status, including subcommittees and linked working groups. You can find the latest report here.
